EarChord finds chords in audio files

Free chord finder that reads the chords, key and tempo of an audio file in your browser. No upload, no account, no daily limit.

“The analysis runs entirely in your browser tab”

— EarChord

EarChord, as filed.

EarChord is a free chord finder for musicians. Drop an MP3, WAV, M4A, AIFF, FLAC or OGG file and it returns a clickable chord timeline, the key and the tempo in BPM, which you can copy or download as a text file. The analysis runs entirely in your browser tab using classical signal processing, so the audio is never uploaded, there is no account and there is no daily or monthly limit. Guitar, ukulele and piano pages add chord diagrams, and the progression page shows Roman numerals relative to the key. A microphone guitar tuner is included.
