Checked 24 Oct 2026. “Not shown on site” means the pages we read did not state it. Scroll sideways for all columns.

If you want a daily leaderboard

  • Uneed posts a new batch of products every day at 12:00 AM PST and keeps daily, weekly, monthly and yearly boards. Its free waiting line assigns your date at least 30 days out, and free products are moderated and can be declined.
  • TinyLaunch runs launch periods with a countdown, and its top 3 launches get a badge. A standard launch is free; a premium launch ($39) skips the queue.
  • StartupBase posts new launches daily at 12:00 AM PDT. The free tier launches in about 4 to 5 weeks; premium ($39) lets you pick a date within 30 days.
  • Fazier groups products by day. The free Basic tier is reviewed and listed within 30 days and asks for a backlink to Fazier on your site.

If you want developers

  • DevHunt launches developer tools in weekly batches, voted on by developers. Listing a tool is free with a nofollow link; a launch costs $19, or $49 boosted, and gets a dofollow link.
  • Hacker News (Show HN) is for something people can try, not a landing page. You need an account to post, and the guidelines prohibit asking friends to upvote or comment. See our Show HN guide.

If you want a free queue

A queue trades speed for cost. Uneed's free line starts at least 30 days out and StartupBase's takes about 4 to 5 weeks, while Fazier says free listings are reviewed within 30 days. TinyLaunch does not state its standard wait on the pages we read.

Submit Your Startup is ours, so weigh this line accordingly. A free submission goes live in the next open slot after at least 24 hours, with up to 10 free launches a day, and ranking is by community votes. There is an optional $9 to skip the wait, and paid placements are never ranked.

If you want an editor to look at it first

  • BetaList is the only paid-only site here: its FAQ says all submissions are paid, editors review each one, and a startup that is not selected is refunded in full. Featured listings carry a dofollow link.
  • Launching Next says submitting is free and that it reviews submissions every day; a $99 upgrade promises consideration within one business day.
  • Launchpadly is a weekly board where each listing keeps its own public page. A free listing goes live after review (1 to 3 days) and requires a badge on your site; a $9 featured plan runs 7 days on the homepage and goes live without a review wait. It says every listing gets a dofollow backlink and that ranking is by community upvotes only, with paid visibility not affecting it.

Microlaunch shows paid plans (Launch Pro $39, Launch Plus $79) on its premium page; whether a free launch exists is not shown on site.

What Product Hunt itself says

  • Describes itself as a place to "Discover the best new products", ranked daily by its community, with a community-driven leaderboard (about page).
  • Free: the launch page answers "Is Product Hunt free?" with "Yes. It's 100% free to use."
  • To launch: log in, press Submit, choose New Product and enter the product URL. Company accounts are prohibited.
  • You pick the launch day. The guide says the homepage runs on a 24-hour cycle based on Pacific time and suggests 12:01 am Pacific for makers who plan ahead.
  • You can launch again when you have a significant new iteration. You cannot ask people directly to upvote; the guide suggests asking them to visit and comment.
  • Not shown on the pages we read: review or approval time, link type (dofollow or nofollow), and how the daily ranking is scored.

A note on this list

This page is published by Submit Your Startup, which is one of the sites in the table. We included ourselves because readers asking for alternatives to Product Hunt may want a free queue, and we put our row last and flagged it. We did not use traffic or authority numbers, which we cannot verify.

How we checked

On 24 Oct 2026we loaded the pages below on each site's own domain and recorded only what they state. We did not use third-party blog claims, create accounts or complete submission forms, so anything shown only after sign-in or at checkout is not in the table.

Not shown on site means the pages we read did not say. It does not mean the site has no such rule. Sites change pricing and rules, and where a site showed two unlabeled prices (Fazier), we show both. We could not read Peerlist Launchpad (our request was blocked), so it is not listed.

Why launch on more than one site

  • Audiences differ. A developer tool may do better on DevHunt or Show HN than on a general leaderboard.
  • Queues take weeks. If Uneed's free line starts at least 30 days out, submit early and run your launch-day sites in the meantime.
  • Launch-day sites each want your attention for a day: Product Hunt's homepage runs on a 24-hour cycle, and Show HN threads need you present to answer questions. Stagger them.
  • Link rules differ. Some listings are nofollow or only dofollow on paid or high-scoring launches, so treat the traffic as the main benefit, and tag the link you submit so you can see which sites send visitors.
